Stability for overhead lines under extreme conditions
Wind, ice, and extreme weather conditions can cause high-voltage power lines to sway – sometimes so violently that phase conductors come dangerously close to each other or even touch. The result: short circuits, damage to infrastructure, and, in the worst case, power outages.
Mosdorfer Interphase Spacer (IPS) ensure that it never comes to that. They reliably keep the phase conductors apart – even in strong winds, during ice fall, or during so-called “galloping movements.”
Reliable technology, proven in the field
Our IPS systems have been in use worldwide for over 20 years—from Scandinavia to South America. They feature a modular design and can be flexibly adapted to different bundle configurations (single, double, triple, or quadruple conductors) and phase arrangements (horizontal, vertical, or delta).

Marker Balls
Sphera – the innovative marking system for high-voltage power lines
Mosdorfer is the exclusive distributor of the SPHERA aerial marker ball.
SPHERA is the new generation of aerial marker balls for high-voltage power lines, developed by MS Design. They were specifically designed for quick, safe, and cost-effective installation. Thanks to pre-assembled half-shells with an innovative spring-loaded quick-release fastener, the marker spheres can be installed in just a few steps, reducing installation time by up to 70 percent and significantly cutting down on the required helicopter flight time. Installation can be performed by a single qualified technician, which greatly enhances workplace safety and minimizes overall costs.
The marker balls are available in two sizes with diameters of 300 mm and 600 mm and, thanks to a flexible clamping range, can be used for cable diameters from 15 to 55 millimeters. Five standard colors are available; custom designs or special orders are also possible. The solid-colored, weather-resistant material ensures that the surface does not flake or fade. At the same time, SPHERA takes ecological aspects into account: Recycled material is used for the base plates, and specially placed drainage openings prevent the formation of condensation or ice, so that the lines are not subjected to additional stress.
Manufactured in Austria and TÜV-certified, these marker balls are the result of years of practical experience and offer a durable, safe, and environmentally friendly solution for marking high-voltage power lines.
