Mosdorfer stands for technical excellence and decades of experience in developing products and system solutions for overhead power lines.
With over 80 in-house engineers worldwide, we combine profound expertise with state-of-the-art technologies in simulation, testing, and system development. Our teams of experts guide the entire development process—from the initial idea through prototyping and laboratory testing to the certified product. Technical Support

In our engineering department, we develop electrical and mechanical systems and components for fittings and connectors up to 1200 kV. Our engineers conduct complex vibration studies, load redistribution simulations, and digital prototype analyses. This enables us to create customized solutions for vibration protection systems, HTLS conductor cables, and applications in the UHV/HVDC sector.

We are also setting new standards in automation: With the development of robot-assisted installation systems, we are laying the foundation for the safe, efficient, and future-oriented installation of overhead line components.

Laboratory Testing & Quality Assurance

Our in-house testing laboratories are at the heart of our development work. Here, we conduct mechanical, electrical, and material testing in accordance with international standards (e.g., IEC 61854, 61897, 61284) or customer specifications.

From static tensile tests up to 1200 kN, through fatigue and vibration tests, to high-current and temperature cycle tests—every product is tested under realistic load conditions.
In addition, material analyses, corrosion tests, and CTI tests enable a detailed assessment of long-term durability.

Field Tests & Measurements

When testing directly on overhead lines is required, Mosdorfer is a reliable partner.
Our field services include vibration measurements, damping and corona effect studies, as well as the validation of the behavior of conductor and ground wires under real operating conditions.

The close integration of laboratory and field measurements enables a precise assessment of system behavior and serves as the basis for future product optimizations.

Technical Consulting & Knowledge Transfer

In addition to developing its own products, Mosdorfer provides international customers with comprehensive technical consulting services.
We offer support with the installation and operation of fittings, analyze aged components, and provide advice on conductor cable vibrations during operation.

Through training courses and seminars, we share our knowledge with engineers, operators, and installers—in a practical, well-founded manner that aligns with the latest technical standards.

FEM-Simulations

We use finite element simulations (FEM) to ensure the optimal mechanical and electrical design of our products.
The digital visualization of field gradients, load scenarios, and material behavior enables precise optimization as early as the concept phase.
